My thoughts and prayers are with you and the entire family. I haven’t seen Niko is years, but the “kid” I remember was everything you said he was: smart, caring, funny, and always willing to put a smile on your face. I would like to make a contribution to the scholarship fund, please e-mail me the steps I need to take.
Again, I am so sorry for your loss and if there is anything I can do please do not hesitate to ask.

Stephanie, that was so sweet. Thank you so much for your prayers and your support. You have always been such a sweetheart and even though we don’t get to see each other that often I always treasure the friendship we had in high school and still have today. Please take care of yourself, and hope to see you soon to catch up!

Niko was a very dear friend of mine, I have so many fond memories of him. He will be greatly missed not only by me, but by everyone who’s lives he touched, he was indeed an incredible individual. This scholarship is a noble idea, I am so happy to know that his dream will help others reach theirs. It seems that the very least I can do is contribute to such a wonderful fund.
I am mailing a check for $100, and I expect it will not be the last. I hope to save a little each month to set aside for donation. I would love for this scholarship fund to be able to go on for a very very long time.
Thank you Lauren!
For Niko and his dream to become a fireman, I will donate $300 every year. My heart aches for this special “golden boy”, but his spirit is always present. A special Ohio friend, Marcia, has also donated an additional $100 for the fund. Our family thanks her so much.
My memories of Niko are of a loving family sharing Thanksgiving Days with me at the farm. I am so glad I got to know all of the kids and watch them grow. In coming Thanksgiving Days I will think of Niko and his family and pray that his family can somehow deal with this tragic loss.
